Repression could be the rule of the afternoon in this film that skewers governance of the 1960s. A leftist rabblerouser, Z, is killed in what appears to be a traffic crash. But given the political climate, such a dominant activist's death raises troubling questions. A post mortem examination suggests that the ruling party has been supporting his death, though it's too late to save the lifetime of Z. People who tell the truth pay the price to get their own honesty, as the truth escape.
