Charismatic detective Gil Mayo wisecracks his manner through a variety of murder mysteries along with his colleague. Matters are not simple between the flames that are old as flirtation could be something more but who can make the first move? Life is further complicated with Gil's precocious daughter Julie, who he's bringing up by himself. The detective does come up to take care of the piles of invoices he keeps receiving though - concealing them from your cupboard!
