Kang-jae grew up with a jobless, gangster father. When Kang-jae and his son Sun-mo along with Lee Dae-hae unintentionally meet, he feels attached to Dae-hae compared to his own father. Through Sun-mo and Dae-hae, Kang-jae learns the basics of everything love as well as magic really means. Sun-mo, however, features a Love Hate association with his daddy, that cares about magic and nothing else. Meanwhile, Sun-mo is heartbroken by Dan-young, who falls in love with Kang-jae. Earlier that Dan-young was living with Sun-mo, wrongly convinced before she was adopted, he is her brother. Yun-jin, Dan-young's stepsister, immediately falls in love by Kang-jae and Kang-jae decides to marry her, maybe perhaps not for love but also for the interest of fulfilling his own aspirations in the cost tag on spurning Dan-young.
