Throughout Nazi job, redheaded Bent Faurschou-Hviid ("Flame") and Jørgen Haagen Schmith ("Citron"),'' assassins at the Danish opposition, take orders against Winther, who is indirect contact with Allied leaders. One other forces, one shoots. Until 1944they kill only Danes. Then Winther supplies orders to kill Germans. Doubt sets in, complicated by the relationship with the Kitty Selmer, who maybe a dual agent of Bent when a target tells Bent who Winther's with these to settle private scores. Additionally, someone in their group is just a traitor. Would Bent and stopping capture, Jørgen kill an über-target, and live the war? And is naiveté this heroism, or hatred?
