Ishikawa Ango is a qualified detective that resides for his task. While exploring a crime scene, then he gets shot in the mind by the criminal which was lurking about. Ango gets thrown over that line which divides life and death but, doctor's are able to reanimate him though he dies and he pulls through. The bullet remains stuck as the surgery to remove it is very dangerous in his mind. Shortly after, he soon realizes he's now able to find out and talk with the departed and moves back to work.
