Barbara is actually a sitcom. A pilot has been aired in 1995, along with also three string were televised from 1999 to 2003. It was created with Central Television, and filmed in their Lenton Lane studios at Nottingham. Nearly all location scenes to the series were filmed for example West Bridgford along with Mapperley, along with different scenes filmed across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
