Amen is an American television sitcom created by Carson Productions that conducted from September 27, 1986 on NBC to May 11, 1991. Set in the real life hometown of Philadelphia, Amen of Sherman Hemsley stars Hemsley in the 1980s which featured or black stripes and was part of a wave of sitcoms on NBC since the deacon of a church. The others contained The Cosby Show.
