Maria Altmann, an octogenarian refugee, takes to regain a world famed painting of her aunt plundered by the Nazis during World War II, she believes rightfully belongs to her family. She did so not to recover that which was rightfully hers, but and to obtain some degree of justice for its death, destruction, and also art theft.
