While a TV channel's president, Max Renn is distressed for programming to entice audiences. After he happens upon"Videodrome," a TV show dedicated to gratuitous punishment and torture, Max sees a possible hit and broadcasts the show on his station. After his girl friend auditions for the show and never returns, Max investigates the facts behind Videodrome and finds as he thought that the picture violence may not be as bogus.
