An American biologist attending a seminar in Berlin awakens from a coma after a car accident, just to find out he is not, believed by any one, not even his wife and someone has obtained his individuality. With the help of an illegal immigrant and also a former Stazi representative, he sets out to prove that he is and learn why folks are currently trying to kill him.
