At Payden Farms,'' Rose matches Tom Novak -- a handsome"blossom broker" who acts as a liaison between the plantation and local vendors -- and discovers that the plantation is faltering financially and that her parents are considering selling it to some ruthless competitor. For Frank, Tom arranges as a last-ditch effort to enter his tulip in a upcoming blossom contest with the hopes of achieving fame and generating business.
