An anorexic young woman escapes from a psychiatric clinic and meets a son who wants to help. She's caught and returned to her parents, who are soon beheaded by a garrotting stranger making the rounds if it rains, apparently striking just. The orphaned young woman and her brand new lover establish their own evaluation and are endangered if a link is discovered with the victims and a certain operation performed years earlier.
