Tomi, the elderly Shukishi along with his spouse, choose the journey from their beachfront village to go to their kids. Their kid, Koichi, a physician, and their daughter, Shige, a hairdresser, do not have much time to spend their elderly parents, and so it drops into Noriko, the widow of these younger son who was killed in the war, to keep her in laws company.
