Martin Brady, who fled to Mexico from the United States many years ago for killing his father's murderer, travels to Texas to negotiate an arms deal for his Mexican boss, strongman Governor Cipriano Castro. Brady breaks his leg, and the gun shipment is stolen while he is recuperating in Texas. To make matters worse, the wife of local army major Colton has feelings for him, and the local Texas Ranger captain makes him a generous offer to return to the states and join his outfit. Brady returns across the border after killing a man in self-defense and confronts Castro, who is not only upset that Brady has lost his gun shipment but is also about to join forces with Colton to fight the local raiding Apache Indians.
