The Tribe is really just a fresh Zealand/British TV series primarily aimed at teenagers. It is put in a near-future in which all adults are wiped out by a lethal virus, leaving the kids of the world. The focus of the show is based really on an unnamed city occupied by tribes of teenagers and kids. It was filmed in and around Wellington, New Zealand. The collection Was Made by Raymond Thompson and Harry Duffin and by the Cloud 9 Screen Entertainment Group Together with the UK's Channel 5 has been developed and produced. It's aired over 40 broadcast networks round the entire globe. It surfaced on Channel 5 to 2-4 April 1999 and immediately gained a sizable group of followers. From 1999 to 2003, 260 episodes and five series are made. Series 6 was scheduled to begin filming 2003, but Nick Wilson, of Channel 5, along with Raymond Thompson felt that"even though the series was still performing well, the throw was getting too old and the series was beginning to stretch the core proposition." They felt the characters are not children fending for themselves without even adults any more. Because of this, the series was cancelled. On the two episodes on 6 aired .
