The Summit is really a 2012 documentary film about the 2008 k 2 tragedy led by Nick Ryan. It combines footage together with dramatized recreations of those events of the 2008 k 2 tragedy. On the path to and from the summit, the eleven climbers died within a brief span of time creating a few of the oddest catastophes in scaling history. Much of the documentary footage has been recorded with Swedish mountaineer Fredrik Sträng. Sträng was intending to do some Documentary which was aborted because of the fact he failed to reach the summit. The footage was valuable to help solving since the climbers had different stories about what happened, what did happen.
