Following the discovery of the perfect tree for a temple monument, a sculptor and his apprentice find themselves caught in a snowstorm while trying to reach their destination. In an abandoned cottage, they rejoice over their good fortune in discovering the tree, but the Snow Witch soon appears, freezing the sculptor to death while caring for the apprentice. His life is in jeopardy if he even mentions this to anyone else.
