Colonel Hyde, who was unceremoniously forced into retirement, enlists seven other disgruntled veterans for a unique mission. Each of the men is a skilled professional in his field with a skeleton in the closet and little money. Although civilian annoyances do start getting in the way, Hyde and second-in-command Race impose military discipline and planning on the team as they prepare to rob a bank.
