The Hollow Crown is a Collection of television films featuring the History Plays of William Shakespeare. The first Season is a version of Shakespeare's second historic tetralogy, the Henriad: Richard II, Henry IV, Part I and Henry IV, Part II (handled as one film in two elements from the series) and Henry V. The next Season is subtitled"The Wars of the Roses" as a reference to its extent.  It's based upon Shakespeare's initial tetralogy: Henry VI: Part I, Henry VI: Part II, Henry VI: Part III (handled as two films from the series) and Richard III.
