Johnny Smith is a high school teacher with his entire life ahead of him until he gets involved in a vehicle accident while leaving his fiancee's house one night, which leaves him in a coma for five years. When he regains consciousness, he realizes he possesses the capacity to look into the past, present, and future lives of anybody with whom he comes into physical contact.
