In order to receive his herd to market with time to prevent economic disaster rancher Wil Andersen is made to take on a collection of young boys as his cowboys when he is abandoned by his cattlemen to get the gold fields. The boys know how to do a man's job under Andersen's tutelage. Neither Andersen nor the boys are aware that they are being stalked by a bunch of cattle thieves.
