Forcing disillusioned writer Tom Langdon to travel the transcontinental train to Los Angeles and determined to capture his voyage, he finds himself westbound with a colorful cast of individuals. While everyone aboard the Christmas train appears to be heading in the same direction, Tom has no idea that the tough engines transporting him across America will instead detour directly into his heart.
