Phylis and Bill Mitchell, the matriarch and patriarch of the Mitchell family, have invited their two grown sons – television personalities Mike and Brandon Mitchell–home for the holidays after making some difficult decisions. Their aim is that by getting the family together to recreate the Christmas house, they will be able to resolve their differences and create a great holiday for the entire family and community.
