When Rebecca Miller (Keshia Knight Pulliam) comes to Tennessee two weeks before Christmas to look after her niece and nephew while their parents are away, the last thing she anticipates is reconnecting with her childhood best friend, Drew (Jarod Joseph). While attempting to rekindle the children's Christmas joy and restore their trust in Santa, she rediscovers her favorite childhood activity: the Twelve Days of Christmas–which she always did with Drew. Rebecca and Drew's bond resumes as the children's trust in the holiday increases, and she begins to view Drew in a whole new perspective.
