The movie is set in the literary Utah area of Santa Ynez, that is being terrorized by a dark coupe that begins running people down and appears out of no where. Subsequent to the car reaches off the town's Sheriff (John Marley), it becomes the job of Captain Wade Parent (James Brolin) to block the stunt driver.
