'Tales from the Darkside,' a George A. Romero-produced anthology series, first aired in 1984. Individual short stories with a twist at the end of each episode were reminiscent of The Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Tales from the Crypt and Lee Martin's The Midnight Hour. The show's episodes covered a wide range of genres, including horror, science fiction, and fantasy, as well as black humour and lighter themes.
