The former star of a winner cop show epic breakdown is broadcast into people and sends her into rehab whose, sam Swift. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way to shadowing private investigator Eddie Valetik as search for a possible comeback role. High spirited Sam uses the skills she's learned as a performer playing a cop and proves herself to be surprisingly valuable though Eddie resents the gig.
