In the enthralling triad drama Sworn Brothers, superstar Andy Lau and Cheung Kwok Keung act as bloodbrother heroes. Cheung Kwok Keung also stars. However, beneath his "evil" image is the sworn brother of Cheung (Cheung Kwok Keung), a Royal Hong Kong Police officer who has recently returned from Scotland Yard. Lau (Andy Lau) is a rapidly rising enforcer with the triads. Despite the fact that the two men stand on opposing sides of the law, they have a connection with one another that cannot be broken, not even by the passage of time, nor even by their divergent political views. Is it possible for the brotherhood of these two upright men to make things right in the underworld? Sworn Brothers is a standout triad action-drama in a genre that already features a large number of films that are very similar to one another. The film stars Tung Piu (Jackie Chan's Police Story films) in a compelling role as a corrupt cop, and it features a large number of exciting action sequences. With intense melodrama and the type of heightened emotions that are typical of many popular Hong Kong films from the eighties, Sworn Brothers nails the bull's-eye of the action-drama genre in an exciting and violent manner!
