Hunter (Haley Bennett) appears to have it all on the surface. As a newly pregnant housewife, she is content to devote her time to maintaining a spotless residence and doting on her Ken-doll husband, Richie (Austin Stowell). As the pressure to match her husband's and in-laws' stringent standards increases, however, cracks begin to surface in her carefully constructed façade. Hunter develops a dangerous habit, and a dark secret from her history emerges in the shape of a disorder called pica - a condition in which she compulsively ingests inedible, and frequently life-threatening, substances.
