Parole officer Jack Mabry includes left before retirement and wants to finish out the cases he has already been assigned. 1 such instance is that of Gerald'Stone' Creeson, a convicted arsonist who is searching for parole. Jack feels sympathy to the pleads of the prisoner for a historical release and is initially reluctant to indulge Stone from the rough banter he wants to chase. Seeing little hope Stone arranges for his wife but motives and intentions blur amidst the passions and buried secrets of the players in this deadly game of deception.
