Burdened with the shameful legacy of yesteryear at the Congo for a young child soldier , he lives with his adoptive mother in London, where he struggles to keep a lid on his own history of violence. 1 night, loving a rare conversational day outside with a friend that is new, Jumah witnesses something that pulls him inescapably to his old techniques. He is set on a path to get out who he wishes to be, as he and the others around him begin to wonder if they could stop being a soldier.
