Sir! No Sir! is a documentary about the anti-war movement within the United States military ranks during the Vietnam War. It is comprised in part of interviews with Vietnam veterans discussing why they protested or even deserted the war. The film recounts how, from the very beginning of the Vietnam War, there was discontent among the ranks due to the disparity between the conflict in Vietnam and the "good wars" in which their fathers had participated. Over time, it became clear that so many individuals were opposed to the war that they might be considered a movement.
