Sidney Prescott, now the author of a novel, returns home to Woodsboro over the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now wed, as well as her cousin Jill along with her Aunt Kate. Regrettably, Sidney's appearance also results in Ghostface's yield, putting Dewey, along with Sidney, Gale, along with the town of Woodsboro, her close associates, as well as Jill in danger.
