Bayou La Teche, located in Louisiana, is experiencing a frenzy of excitement as the local Cajun community prepares to celebrate the marriage of Splendid and Dolan. The conflict arises on the night of the wedding, when Splendid is adamant that she will never tell on her new husband. On the opposite side of town, Splendid's cousin is dealing with her own set of issues. Her man has been having sexual relations with Thais, the town's most notorious prostitute. She goes to the Tiger Cafe armed with a gun in order to get her boyfriend back.
