Henry Rowengartner, whose late father was a little league baseball player, grew up dreaming of playing with baseball, even despite his own physical shortcomings. The fascia at that arm heals too closely, allowing Henry to throw pitches that are as fast as 103 mph after Henry's arm is broken while looking to grab a baseball in the school. Henry is spotted at local Wrigley Field by Larry"Fish" Fisher, the general director of the struggling Chicago Cubs, afterwards Henry strikes a competitor's home-run ball all the way from the outfield bleachers back again to the catcher, and it seems that Henry might be the pitcher that team owner Bob Carson has been praying for.
