Set in England from the early 19th century, both Prejudice and Pride tells the story of Mr and Mrs Bennet's five brothers after his status-conscious friend, Mr Darcy and the rich and eligible Mr Bingley, have moved in their neighbourhood. Darcy has difficulty adapting to local society and repeatedly clashes with the Bennet daughter, Elizabeth, while Bingley can take a sudden liking to the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane.
