Whenever Marie locks her bedroom door and sleeps, she dreams about Marty, a literary agent in New York City who dreams about Marie, too. The women look like each other. Marie meets William, and he starts to fall in love with her. In the beginning, Marty meets Aaron, who is an accountant. He becomes her friend and then her lover. It's the same for both women. They tell their lovers about what they want in life. William is jealous of Aaron, but Aaron is happy. When Marie and William become lovers, she won't sleep next to him.
