Steve Ford can be a private detective in Venice Beach, Calif., who's good with the ladies, awful with all the punches and mad regarding his dog Buddy. When local thugs steal Buddy, Ford turns into Spyder, their diehard pioneer, and forges an alliance. Steve pulls out the big guns save Buddy and also to retrieve the stolen cocaine and cash of Spyder.
