Werner Herzog, who had worked with the famous writer and adventurer Bruce Chatwin for many years, went to see him one last time when he was dying of AIDS. Chatwin gave Herzog the rucksack he had used to travel around the world as a parting gift. Thirty years later, Herzog takes off on his own journey with the rucksack, inspired by Chatwin's love of the nomadic life.
