This film dramatizes the real story of Farley Mowat, when he was sent to amass signs of the harm the wolf people was doing to the caribou herds. In his battle to survive in that environment he realizes that the beliefs of their supposed hazard and wolves are false, and studies the Turks. Moreover , he sees that humans represent a much greater threat to the territory, also to the wolves.
