Tim O'Hara, a journalist for a local newspaper, discovers a crashed extraterrestrial spaceship that is home to at least one living alien. In order to avoid being found out by the police, the Martian pretends to be Tim's uncle Martin and starts working on repairing his spaceship so that he can go back to Mars.
