Mr. Belvedere is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from March 1-5, 1985, before July 8, 1990. The show is loosely predicated on the Lynn Aloysius Belvedere personality created by Gwen Davenport on the 1947 novel Belvedere, that was adapted into the 1948 film Sitting Pretty. The sitcom stars Christopher Hewett from the title character, who has employment as a housekeeper with an American family headed by George Owens, played by Bob Uecker.
