Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Flax is tired of her mom moving their family to a different town whenever she believes it is essential. Once they move to some small Massachusetts town and Mrs. Flax begins dating a shop keeper, Charlotte and her 9-year-old sister, Kate, hope that they are able to finally settle down.
