A French archaeologist in charge of overseeing a century-long construction project to tunnel beneath the Andes mountain range becomes friends with a young musician and a Scottish orchid farmer while visiting her sick sister in Bogotá, Colombia. She can't sleep because she is disturbed by more and louder noises each night.
