Ruth and her boyfriend Tom go to a seaside vacation park to spend the weekend. Because it's wintertime and the resort is almost empty, only a few inhabitants and a handful of employees remain. During her first few days in the new place, Ruth finds job and makes a new acquaintance in the form of Jade, a make-up fanatic. Ruth discovers evidence that her boyfriend is having an affair while cleaning Tom's RV one afternoon. As her quest for the truth grows increasingly obsessive, she begins to question whether she is really looking for the truth at all.
