A set of down-on-their-luck swordsmen get here in a dusty, windblown community, where they become associated with a neighborhood clan dispute. One, formerly a farmer, longs to become a noble samurai. The various other, a previous samurai haunted by his past, prefers living anonymously with gangsters. However when both males find the wrongdoings of the dubious clan leader, they side with a band of rebels that are under siege at a remote mountain cabin.
