A surgeon, romancing a somewhat younger school teacher, enlists his assistant to pretend for his soon to be ex-wife, in order to pay up a careless lie. The assistant's kids become involved, when lies backfire, and everyone heads off to get a weekend at Hawaii that will affect their lives.
