JAG is a American legal drama tv series with a different military motif, created by Donald P. Bellisario, and created by Belisarius Productions in association with Paramount Network Television. The season was co-produced with NBC Productions. Originally conceived as a High Gun meets the pilot episode of JAG first aired on NBC on September 23, A Few Good Men, 1995. However, the show was later canceled after completing 79th in the evaluations on May 22, 1996, leaving one episode unaired. Rival network CBS acquired the series for a midseason replacement, beginning on January 3, 1997. CBS's decision proved to be a fantastic move, since JAG has been about the air for eight additional seasons and for seasons climbed from the ratings. JAG spawned the hit show NCIS, which in turn spun off a second hit, NCIS: l a. In totalepisodes were produced over 10 seasons and JAG was during its 5th season found in more than 100 countries. JAG was so popular it entered syndication early in 1999 and it is still repeated.
