In this Amicus production of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde," the names of Dr. Marlowe and Mr. Blake have been changed to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, respectively. Dr. Marlowe, played by Lee, experiments with medications administered intravenously in hopes of releasing internal inhibitions. As a result, Mr. Blake (also Lee) is born, and each time he transforms, he grows more terrifying. Utterson's friend and colleague, Dr. Peter Cushing, portrays him in the film.
