I Dream of Jeannie is a fantasy-based American sitcom. The drama starred Barbara Eden as a 2,000-year-old genie and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who becomes her master and with whom she falls in love and finally marries. The sitcom, produced by Screen Gems, first broadcast on NBC from September 1965 through May 1970 with new episodes and through September 1970 with season reruns. The show lasted five seasons and generated 139 episodes. The first season included 30 black-and-white episodes.
